WOW – We raised £18,000

Back in September 2017 one month after I was diagnosed with breast cancer I set out on a mission to raise £3000 for my hospitals chemotherapy suite. I wanted to raise money to aid mindfulness classes for those like myself going through treatment and after, one thing I wasn’t prepared for at the start of my Journey was the amount of support I would receive and with this, the £3000 target went to 5k then 6k then 7k fast forward 15 months together with the support of so many of you we have raised a total of £18,000.00 …WOW JUST WOW.

I have so many to thank, those who have taken on missions of there own to help me reach and totally smash my goals.

A huge thanks to

Barry and Lorna Symonds who started the ball rolling with the love breasts bands. Susie and Dean Ellison who helped me with the the great BSB shave off at the final round at Brands Hatch in 2017 and all those who took part when I had just lost all of my hair, Dean and Susie also continued to sell the #lovebreasts bands and all BSB events. My friends Hannah and Meghan who arranged an amazing cake sale day at work with the thanks of Andrea Pearce supplying the cakes.

Anne Blake who arranged a bingo night at the springboard centre. My Favourite Gym, Bluestone fitness, who continued to have bands available.

Carly Rathmall absolute legend, helping me raise so much with her own fundraising and bids. She does an incredible job fundraising for those who need it and I feel privileged to be one of those.

Corrine Lowes and her marathon running, she trained so hard and decided that she was going to help me raise some more money by creating her own just giving page for my fundraising. She ran her little legs of and raised an amazing amount for me.

Gareth Davies who had an amazing canvas which he created signed by all of the BSB riders and then auctioned this, and to all those who gave me items to auction.

A thanks to all of you who donated kindly from purchasing the love breasts bands whilst sharing breast cancer awareness and those who donated on my Just giving Page to support my cause.

WHO THIS HELPS

The Bamford Suite at the Derby Nuffield. A large amount of this funding will help Julie and team provide more mindfulness courses and support for those just like myself at the Bamford suite. Although this is a private hospital the suite works on donations and they also provide help and support for those in the NHS too specifically the Derby Royal.

Bamford

Trekstock , they have been such an incredible help to me and become friends in the process , the advice they give young adults dealing with cancer is so tailored to the needs which you have in your 20’s and 30’s.

Wigs for hero’s. Kaz really inspired me , I got following her at the start of my journey and what she was going to support others through whilst she herself was going through treatment. Wigs for hero’s helped provide financial help for quality wigs, scarves and hats and also send out wonderful Pamper Boxes. Not only this she arranges and hosts Beauty events and workshops in London.

So that’s it folks , for now I aim to keep putting full efforts into the rebuild of my new world and enjoy as much as I can along the way . THANK YOU for the support you will never understand how much it filled my heart Back up when I was totally depleted, you not only helped raise an incredible amount to help others , you helped me too, thank you xoxo
